Buncombe Cty Detention Students Celebrate Course Completion
“We’re proud to celebrate the first group of students at the Buncombe County Detention Facility who completed a UNC Asheville college course through the Prison Education Program! Despite delays from Hurricane Helene, these students remained committed and successfully finished HUM174: Creating Room for Many Worlds, a course that transfers to community colleges and universities.
Education opens doors, and we applaud their hard work and dedication!”
