Kelly Morin, Chair
Kelly Morin serves as the Assistant Dean within the Department of Adult & Online Education at Campbell University, where she leads the university’s Second Chance Initiative, a comprehensive prison education and reentry program. Under her leadership, the initiative offers an Associate of Science degree and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies – Training and Development, with a minor in Addiction Studies. These programs are delivered on-site at Sampson Correctional Institution (men’s facility) and Anson Correctional Institution (women’s facility).
In addition to in-prison instruction, the initiative includes a reentry-focused educational arm for women returning to the Raleigh community, offered in partnership with the Arise Collective.
Originally from Ahoskie, North Carolina, Morin brings a personal understanding of the challenges and strengths found in rural, low socioeconomic communities. Growing up in a small town shaped her deep appreciation for resilience, hard work, and the importance of community support.
She holds a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development at North Carolina State University.
